Seek Justice, Speak Truth, Serve With Honor

The mission of Bishop Montgomery High School is to provide a diverse student body with a college-preparatory education rooted in Catholic identity. We challenge all students to reach their potential through a rigorous academic program and participation in faith formation and varied extracurricular activities. In a community that nourishes the faith life of the students, parents, and staff through prayer, worship, and commitment to service, Bishop Montgomery forms leaders, critical thinkers, and individuals who are prepared to integrate world knowledge with Catholic beliefs and values.

It was the dream of Reverend William Ford, late pastor of St. James Parish in Redondo Beach, that a secondary school be established in the South Bay area. Coupled with the Archdiocesan Youth Education Fund, Fr. Ford’s contribution helped make it possible for Bishop Montgomery to serve, as it does today, hundreds of students from over 70 parishes in the South Bay and surrounding Los Angeles areas.
