English 2 Honors

Course Description

This is a tenth-grade level English literature and composition course designed to help students improve as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. Students will learn and enhance reading comprehension, writing, editing, vocabulary, public speaking, grammar, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Summer Reading

*Summer Reading materials were to be read prior to the start of school. The Summer Reading exam will be completed in two parts: scantron and an in-class essay. The scantron portion will be on Monday, August 22nd and the in-class essay will be on Tuesday, August 23rd. There will be NO make-up exams; students must take the exams on the designated days, otherwise they will earn a 0.

                                                  

 

I update Aeries every day! If absent, please check Aeries for missing Classwork and Homework assignments. All directions and handout for the assignments are attached on Aeries. Google Classroom will also be used in this course and important class information can be found there as well. For policies on late work and make-ups, please refer to your Syllabus. Please note the Course Timeline is subject to change.
