Office of Dignity, Empathy, & Justice

Bishop Montgomery is dedicated to creating and maintaining an environment in which all students feel comfortable learning and focusing on their development as young adults. In alignment with our Catholic faith and to ensure an increasingly just and equitable campus, the Office of Dignity, Empathy, and Justice was created and will work to further support our commitment to developing compassionate, forward-thinking individuals, who are prepared to excel and make meaningful contributions to the greater community. The office will also serve as the central point of communication on all topics related to dignity, empathy, and justice, while serving as the internal driver of this work within the school.

Additionally, in concordance with our integral student outcome of shaping Christ-centered and socially responsible individuals, the office will work to educate administration, faculty, staff, and students on Dignity, Empathy, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism, while empowering them to respond in ways that are respectful of each other’s human dignity.

Moving forward, the Office will work closely with on-campus affinity groups and cultural clubs to highlight the diversity of voices within our community and further develop the school’s vision of service and justice, so that students, faculty, staff, and administrators become more knowledgeable about inequality and are better prepared to engage with the outside world as difference-makers and agents of change.
