BMHS Dual Enrollment Program

Bishop Montgomery High School is excited to partner with Seton Hill University’s “College in High School” Program to provide students with the opportunity to earn college credit while completing select courses with BMHS teachers.

How It Works

Students enrolled in an approved course at Bishop Montgomery High School can earn both high school and college credit through Seton Hill University. This unique program may allow students to:

• Get a head start on their college education
• Strengthen their academic profile
• Save time and money on future college coursework

Students will receive registration details and instructions at the beginning of the school year.

Seton Hill Transcripts

Students must order official Seton Hill University transcripts directly from Seton Hill.  

Step 1: Review an Unofficial Transcript

To view an unofficial transcript for any courses taken during the 2025-2026 school year, log into your Seton Hill College in High School account - chs.setonhill.edu. (My Courses --> Download Unofficial Transcript)

Step 2: Order an Official Transcript

Seton Hill University partners with the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) for transcript ordering.  Transcripts can be sent electronically or by mail.

Note:

1. Be sure to ask the institution you plan to attend who should receive your official transcript for evaluation.
2. If you are ordering before your final grades are posted, be sure to select “Hold for final grades” so your transcript includes them. 
3. A fee is required for each transcript request, payable through the NSC website.

Step 3: Request a Course Syllabus (if needed)

Some colleges require a syllabus to determine how your dual enrollment course transfers to their institution.  If you need a syllabus, email [email protected] with your request.

Who is eligible for the program?
Students enrolled in one of the approved courses are eligible to participate.

Does my student have to be in the course to earn college credit?
Yes. Only students enrolled in the approved course may register for dual credit.

Is there a cost for earning college credit?
Yes, Seton Hill University charges a tuition fee for dual enrollment courses. Teachers will provide specific details about costs and payment during the registration process.

How do students register?
Registration information and instructions will be shared by classroom teachers at the end of September.

Do the college credits transfer to other universities?
The credits earned through the College in High School program are posted to a Seton Hill University transcript. Credits earned through Seton Hill University are generally transferable, but each college or university has its own transfer policies. Families are encouraged to check with prospective colleges for confirmation.

Will this affect my student’s AP exam?
No. Students will still complete the AP curriculum and are encouraged to take the AP exam in May. The dual credit opportunity is an additional benefit.
