Bio

My name is Alejandro Escude and I’m excited to be teaching at Bishop Montgomery High School. I teach Honors American Literature as well as British Literature. I’ve attached the syllabus for each class to this page.

I’ve devoted myself to the study of writing and literature for most of my academic career. I earned a BA in Modern Literature from the University of California at Santa Cruz and an MA in English, with a concentration in creative writing, from the University of California at Davis. I also possess a single-subject English teaching credential, which I earned at Loyola Marymount University. Having immigrated from Argentina at the age of six, I’m fully bilingual.  Writing is a passion of mine, and I have published two full length collections of poetry, one of which was an award-winner.
