Seal, Alma Mater & Fight Song

At the top there is a hat which stands for the bishop and our obedience to his laws. Under this appear three letters – J, V, H. These Latin initials represent Justice, Truth, and Honor, our school motto. Behind these burns the lamp of knowledge; shedding light to dispel all shadows of ignorance. Beneath all this are the symbols of the faculty – the two crossed hands and the carpenter’s block with a lily. The two crossed hands are the symbol of the Franciscan fathers and the lily with the carpenter’s block beneath are the symbols of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet. To finish it off, there is the name of our school.

All praise to thee, Montgomery, will rise in accent strong.
Our Lady, Queen of angels, most worthy of our song.
