ENGLISH PLACEMENT APPEAL
For parents who wish to appeal their student’s English placement for the 2023 - 2024 school year, Bishop Montgomery High School administers a timed writing test designed for reconsideration.
The English placement appeal exam will take place on Thursday, April 20th from 2:15pm - 3:00pm. Students should report by 2:00pm to Bishop Montgomery’s Chapel located at the front of the school across from the main office. The cost for the exam is $25 (non-refundable).
So that we may best serve our students and their families, please complete and submit the English Placement Appeal form and payment (above). The registration deadline is April 14th. Please note, this is the only day and time that the exam will be offered. All decisions will be final based on the exam results.
MATH PLACEMENT APPEAL
For parents who wish to appeal their student’s math placement for the 2023 - 2024 school year,
Bishop Montgomery High School uses the Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Program (MDTP) readiness test(s) to assess students at each level of the math curriculum.
The exam your student chooses to take, the Algebra Readiness Test or the Geometry Readiness Test, will measure the necessary skills to succeed in the given course. A score of 70% or higher is required to allow a change from Pre-Algebra to Algebra I, or from Algebra I to Geometry, as determined by Bishop Montgomery. A score of 90% or higher is required for an honors placement in Algebra I or Geometry.

SUMMER SCHOOL
Summer school classes begin on Wednesday, June 14th and end on Friday, July 21st. Please review the important information below prior to registering for a course. The BMHS 2023 - 2024 Course Catalog is included for your information regarding course descriptions. In order to register for a summer class please bring the enrollment form included in the acceptance packet or click on the link in the gold box to the right (beginning March 29). Summer school enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. Once a course is filled, it will close. The Summer Conditioning schedule and enrollment form will be posted once available.
