As I begin my 34rd year at Bishop Montgomery, I find myself excited to (finally) move forward. Like you, I have found myself challenged by the circumstances of the last two plus years. I have been comforted by the words of my hero, Pope St. John XXIII:

"Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but what it is still possible for you to do."

"See everything, overlook a great deal, correct a little."

--Pope St. John XXIII

And I continue to be inspired by C.S. Lewis:

"Do not waste time bothering whether you 'love' your neighbor; act as if you did. As soon as we do this we find one of the great secrets. When you are behaving as if you loved someone you will presently come to love him."

"Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself, less."

"Though our feelings come and go, God's love for us does not."

--C.S. Lewis
