What is BMHS Day of Giving?
BMHS Day of Giving is an annual, one-day fundraising event held this year on June 6, 2024.
Why give on June 6, 2024?
Because EVERY GIFT of EVERY SIZE helps EVERY STUDENT.
If you are in a position to give, please consider making a gift on June 6.
What is the goal?
2024 Goal: 500 individual gifts & $100,000
To inspire alumni, current & past parents, friends, faculty & staff, and students to make a gift to Bishop Montgomery. Every year, our alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends have made our Day of Giving better than the year before. Every gift, regardless of the size, provides opportunities for our students to be leaders and difference-makers.
How can I make a gift on Day of Giving?
There are several ways you can make a secure gift on June 6, 2024:
1. Online at www.bmhs-la.org/dayofgiving/ or by clicking the "GIVE NOW" button at the bottom of the home page at www.bmhs-la.org.
2. Call us at 310.540.2021 ext. 246 between 8am - 4pm PST.
3. Text-to-Give: Text the keyword bmhs24 to 53-555 (we accept Venmo)
4. Scan-to-Give: scan the QR Code below (we accept Venmo)
5. Send your check to BMHS and write "Day of Giving" in the memo line.

Who can participate?
Anyone - alumni, parents, faculty, staff, friends - anyone. Help spread the word to your classmates, fellow parents and friends by sharing your support on social media using the hashtag #knightpride.
Where does my gift go?
You can give to any area of your choice. Every Gift of Every Size helps Every Student. 100% of your gift goes directly to where you choose - Queen of Angels Fund, an academic department, theater arts, TBK (the band!), an athletic team, campus ministry, building plans, etc. If you would like to make an Unrestricted gift, your donation will be used for the area of greatest need. Is there a minimum gift amount?
Yes...and no. Let us explain. The minimum amount you can give through our secure, online site is $10. If you would like to make a gift of $1-$9, you can do that by cash or check. (Alumni...consider giving $1 for every year since you graduated).
What is the Knight Pride Alumni Challenge?
Knight Pride Alumni Challenge is a giving competition that challenges each class to increase the number of donors who contribute to BMHS from July 1 - June 30 of each year. The competition is based on the number of alumni gifts from each class; it is not based on the dollar amount. What is the prize? Bragging rights. The class that gives the most gifts, not the most dollars, wins.
What if I already gave a gift this year?
Thank you for your support of BMHS. We do ask one favor, however. Encourage your classmates and friends to make a gift of any amount to BMHS. Tell them about Day of Giving and the power of every gift. Call them, text them, email them, track them down at their work or school (actually, you don't need to do that). Spread the word on your social media (remember, use #knightpride).
Does my Day of Giving gift count toward my annual gift?
Absolutely!
Is my gift tax-deductible?
All gifts to BMHS are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. BMHS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our Tax Exempt ID# is 95-2005811. For specific tax questions, please consult with your tax advisor and/or tax return preparer.
