Carrie Knickrehm earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Loyola Marymount University, where she focused on United States history. During her time at LMU, she received academic achievement awards from the History Department, was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta—the national history honor society—and presented her research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium on topics such as the history of NATO.
She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Transformative Education through the PLACE Corps program at LMU, a community- and faith-based program dedicated to preparing educators for service and leadership in the classroom.
Carrie believes that studying history helps students grow into thoughtful and responsible global citizens. In her classroom, she strives to create learning experiences that equip students with knowledge
