Principal's Message
Dear Bishop Montgomery Community,
As I start my second year as Principal of Bishop Montgomery High School, I remain honored and truly grateful to serve this remarkable community. As a proud alumna, former BMHS faculty member, and parent of two BMHS graduates, this role holds special significance for me—and it’s a privilege to give back to the school that has played a vital part in my life.
With 35 years in education, including leadership roles as Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Woodbury University and Associate Provost at Mount Saint Mary’s University, I bring both experience and a deep commitment to Catholic education. I remain dedicated to fostering a learning environment where students can thrive—academically, spiritually, and personally.
Founded in 1957 and located just a mile from the Pacific Ocean in Torrance, Bishop Montgomery High School is a private, Catholic co-educational high school that proudly serves a diverse student body from across Southern California and beyond.
Our mission is rooted in faith, excellence, and service. At BMHS, our dedicated faculty and staff work to develop the whole student, emphasizing academic achievement, spiritual growth, athletic success, and social responsibility. With 39 Advanced Placement and honors courses, innovative STEAM programs, and the prestigious AP Capstone program, we prepare our students for college and beyond. This year, we are especially excited to launch new academic pathways, expand dual enrollment opportunities, and introduce Hope Squad, a peer-based program that supports student mental health and well-being.
Beyond the classroom, students can join more than 60 clubs and service organizations, enjoy vibrant performing arts, and participate in over 20 athletic teams, making sure every Knight finds their path and passion.
This year, I look forward to deepening the partnerships that make Bishop Montgomery so special—especially with our parents, alumni, and friends. Your support, participation, and prayers are vital to our continued success.
Thank you for being part of the Bishop Montgomery community. I invite you to explore our website, connect with us at events, and reach out to learn more about all we have to offer.
Here’s to another great year ahead—filled with purpose, growth, and Knight pride.
God bless, and Go Knights!
