Art Walk

For almost a decade, Bishop Montgomery has taken one evening each spring to celebrate the creative talents of our students and faculty.  During this event we celebrate Music, Visual Arts, Film, & Theater Arts. All Bishop families are invited to attend. Art Walk activities include a musical concert, art gallery of student & faculty works, film showcase, student made art & pottery sale, mural stations & make & take art stations.

Torrance, CA (March 29, 2022): At Bishop Montgomery, Arts Fest is one of the wonderful reminders that Spring is here. This celebration of the Arts highlights the talents of the students (and faculty) in many different mediums.

The week of March 21-25 started with a Celebration of Music Makers on Monday. At lunch, our Symphony Orchestra performed on stage in front of Thomas More Hall (TMH). Tuesday was a Celebration of Film Creators & Directors. Student and faculty films were screened at lunch.

The middle of Arts Week celebrated the visual arts with a color wheel day and art gallery opening. Students wore their favorite color of the color wheel, took pictures with their friends and were able to stroll through the media center to view student and faculty artwork.

On Thursday, we celebrated drama performers & crew members with a class charade competition at lunch on the outdoor stage in front of TMH.

Arts Fest concluded on Friday night with the Annual Art Walk in the evening in the media center. Students, parents, faculty, staff and friends enjoyed viewing artwork as they were serenaded by our talented musicians throughout the evening.

Special thanks to our wonderful staff members who were instrumental in making Arts Fest Week a success: Jennifer Kallok '88, Catherine Wilson, Eric Hankey, Brian Haynes '89 and many others.
