Torrance, CA (December 16, 2018): The front page of today's Los Angeles Times' Sports section features a very familiar face-- Bishop Montgomery's very own Noelle Quinn '03. Quinn, a standout student and athlete at BMHS went on to play basketball for UCLA where she twice received All-American honors, and then was selected by the Minnesota Lynx as the 4th overall pick in 2007's WNBA draft. Quinn, who currently plays for the WNBA's Seattle Storm and just helped the team pick up their third championship in September, returns each off-season to coach Bishop Montgomery's varsity girls' basketball team and assist in BMHS' athletic offices.
Since her time at Bishop Montgomery, Quinn has been a standout in the classroom, on the court, and on the sidelines coaching her Bishop teams to CIF-SS championships. She continues to shape her legacy at BMHS with her dedication to her athletes, to her sport, and to those that will follow in her footsteps.
