Mitchell, Murray, Jr. and Miljkovic to Participate in All-Star Game

Torrance, CA (April 16, 2013): Bishop Montgomery boys' basketball coach Doug Mitchell and senior forwards Lamond Murray, Jr. '13 and Ognjen Miljkovic '13 will participate in the Collision All-Star Basketball Game on Saturday at 7:00pm at Redondo Union High School. The game pits players from the CIF Southern Section against the LA City Section.

In addition to coaching the Southern Section squad, Mitchell will receive the Jim Harrick Lifetime Achievement Award. In his 24-years at BMHS, Mitchell has led the Knights to 4 CIF titles, 2 state titles, and 13 league titles. He is 531-158 at BMHS. 

Murray, Jr. had an outstanding career at BMHS. He is a member of the 1,000-point club and he was a 2-time first team All-CIF selection. He was also named the 2012-13 Daily Breeze Player of the Year, Del Rey League MVP, and was recently selected All-State by MaxPreps (1st Team Division IV and 3rd Team Overall). In 2012-13 he led the Knights in scoring (22.3 ppg) and rebounding (9.6 rpg) en route to a 32-2 record. He will continue his playing career at Pepperdine University.

In 2012-13, Miljkovic was a force for the Knights both inside and out. The 6-7 forward was a first team All-Del Rey League pick and was named 2nd Team All-Area by the Daily Breeze. He has received college interest from St. Mary's, Portland, Rice, and Eastern Washington but has yet to sign.
