UPDATE: Carmelita Jeter '98 Wins Two Gold and One Silver at World Track & Field Championships

UPDATED September 6, 2011: Carmelita Jeter '98 ran the anchor leg of the women's 4 x 100m relay for the United States that won the gold medal at the World Track & Field Championships. They ran the race in 41.56.
 
UPDATED September 2, 2011: Today, Carmelita Jeter '98 won the silver medal in the women's 200m race at the IAAF World Track & Field Championships in South Korea. Jeter finished with a time of 22.37.
 
August 29, 2011. 1998 BMHS Alumna Carmelita Jeter won the women's 100m title today in Daegu, South Korea at the 2011 IAAF World Track & Field Championships. She ran the 100m in a time of 10.90 seconds to claim her first world title.
 
Jeter is the current world record holder in the women's 100m and holds the title of "Fastest Woman in the World."
