Hewitt, Stofila to Play in Lions All-Star Game

Torrance, CA (January 8, 2020): Two Bishop Montgomery seniors, Brenton Hewitt '20 and Patrick Stofila '20, will participate in the Annual West Torrance Lions Club All-Star Football Game on January 25, 2020 at 6:00pm. The game will be played at El Camino College. The prestigious Lions game has been played since 1965 and is a senior-only all-star game.
 
Hewitt capped a brilliant career at BMHS in 2019. This season, he was a first team All-Camino Real League pick and the team's Bryan Bero '84 Award recipient as the top skill position player. Hewitt set new school records in career touchdown receptions (23) and single game receiving yards (202 vs. Calvary Chapel). 
 
Stofila was also a first team All-Camino Real League pick and received both the Dan Graham '67 Award (team MVP) and Pat Kealey '68 Award (team's top linebacker). In 2019, Stofila played in 93% of all plays and notched 70 tackles and an interception return for a touchdown. He also played tight end and long snapper for the Knights.
