AP Calculus BC

Course Description

AP Calculus BC is a comprehensive yearlong course in the study of both
differential and integral Calculus. Students will study the following topics in this course: functions,
graphs, limits, differentiation, applications of differentiation, differential equations, integration,
applications of integration, sequences and series, power series, and parametric, polar, and vector
functions. Throughout the year, students will work with functions represented graphically, numerically,
analytically, and verbally and explore the connections among these representations. In addition to
writing out mathematical solutions to problems, students will learn to communicate mathematics during
class discussions and group work, and will be expected to explain solutions in written sentences on
various homework, quiz, and test questions.
