Hello, my name is Beverly Hazell and I am currently in my second year of teacher at Bishop Montgomery High School. I am born in raised in West Torrance and attended West Torrance High School.

After graduating from West Torrance High School I attended El Camino College where my father is a faculty member and has been since 1979. After my two years at El Camino I transferred with honors as Athlete of the Year and Scholar Athlete of the year.   I received a Div. 1 scholarship to SUNY, Albany to play volleyball. I would later transfer to finish out my collegiate career at Cal State University, East Bay. After graduation I would enroll in the Masters program where I have almost completed the course work to obtain my Masters Degree in history. Prior to working at Bishop, I worked for the Torrance Unified School District as a long term substitute for three years. I took my first coaching job when I was a senior in high school and I have been running the West Torrance girls volleyball team since 2016. I am also the co-director of a volleyball club in the area and have been coaching for the club for 5 years.

I teach US history, Honors US history, and Honors World history. I am also the moderator of the Key Club.

The syllabus for both of my courses are attached below.
