I approach teaching and coaching with the point of view each student and athlete is unique. From individual personalities and interests, cultural backgrounds, and educational experiences. I believe to become an effective teacher and coach, I need to take an active role in learning about the individual students and athletes of Bishop Montgomery to better help them on their life's journey and educational experiences. In doing so, my goal and hope is to become a positive influence and mentor to assist them in whatever way I possibly can.

I began my basketball coaching career here at Bishop Montgomery High School in 1989 through 1994. During the years of 1994-2000 I coached at LA Harbor JC for one season, CSU Dominguez Hills for one season, and on to CSU Los Angeles through the year 2000. I returned to high school and began teaching Modern World History and Cultural Geography. In 2016, I returned to BMHS as an assistant varsity basketball coach. In the following years, I've taught Economics, Physical Education, Upper Division PE, and Fitness and Nutrition. In addition to varsity basketball, I'm also an assistant varsity football coach with the Knights football program.
