...delighted to the join the staff at BMHS this semester (Fall 2025) – and Amerigo - as an English Language Learning Teacher for our international students, teaching ARC 1, ARC 2, and Academic Skills.
...a veteran classroom teacher from Arizona, having taught English/ELD for 25 years in Phoenix Union High School District, the last three years as Instructional Leader of the ESL department.
...returning to Southern California after a long absence, so glad to see the Pacific again and bask in the sun without broiling.

Education / Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree from UCLA in Linguistics
- Master’s degree from ASU (Arizona State University) in Secondary Education/English
- Master’s degree from Ottawa University in School Guidance Counseling.
- Credentialed in ESL K-12 (in Arizona)
- Reciprocal certification in California for Single Subject, CLAD, and Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
It’s inspiring to help young people achieve their learning goals. The primary reason I became a teacher was to give back to the community, to lend support and offer guidance where needed. I look forward to the ongoing journey.
