Torrance, CA (June 14, 2018): Recent BMHS graduate Daniel Matheney '18 was named 1st Team All-American yesterday by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Matheney is the first boys' volleyball player in school history to be named an all-american.
Matheney helped lead the Knights to back-to-back Del Rey League titles in 2017 and 2018 and a CIF Finals appearance in 2017. This year, Matheney was named Del Rey League MVP, 1st Team All-CIF-SS Division 2, and 1st Team Daily Breeze All-Area. He also earned a spot on the United States Jr. National team that will compete this summer.
