Celebrating Girls & Women In Sports

Torrance, CA (February 7, 2018)
: Today, National Girls and Women in Sports Day, we celebrate all of our current student-athletes for being the confident leaders of tomorrow. We also celebrate all of our alumnae for being wonderful role models.

We are proud of all of our current student-athletes as well as our alumnae.

We invite you to visit the Athletics web pages (www.bmhs-la.org/athletics/) to see where all of our alumnae have gone on to compete at both the college and professional levels of their chosen sport.

There are many amazing alumnae who are currently competing professionally or are working full-time in the world of sports, including the following:

Denise Austin '75 (fitness pioneer)
Patty Froehlich-Gasso '80 (Head Softball Coach / University of Oklahoma)
Carmelita Jeter '98 (fastest woman in the world)
