Torrance, CA (February 25, 2014): On Saturday, February 22nd, the BMHS Music Department hosted their 2nd Annual Solo & Ensemble Festival, under the auspices of the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA).
Over 4,000 music students from all over Southern California participate in festivals like these each year.
All of BMHS' students scored an Excellent rating, except for the four that scored Superior - James Marquez '14, senior tuba; Iris Shi '17, freshman violin; Lucas Curnutte '16, sophomore trumpet; and Yidan Yuan '15, junior clarinet. These four are now invited to perform at a Regional festival later this spring. Congratulations everyone!
