Torrance, CA (November 27, 2013): The LACSB—Los Angeles Catholic Schools Band—has almost 200 members from eleven archdiocesan, private, and parish high schools, including Bishop Montgomery High School. Their first performance will be in the Hollywood Christmas Parade from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1st, and is expected to be televised on KTLA or one of its satellite stations that night.
It will also be rebroadcast on the Hallmark Channel on December 11th at 2:00 p.m. and December 20th at 5:00 p.m.; and on KTLA on December 20th at 8:00 p.m. and December 22nd at 3:00 p.m.
What is particularly exciting is that the leadership of the Tournament of Roses Parade will be watching the performance in the Hollywood Christmas Parade to see if they might be ready to join the Rose Parade at some point in the future. They will be rehearsing this Friday at Serra High School and Saturday at Dodger Stadium.
