Torrance, CA (November 13, 2013): On Wednesday, November 13, two outstanding Bishop Montgomery student-athletes signed national letters-of-intent in a ceremony during lunch in the main gymnasium. In addition to the Daily Breeze and Torrance CitiCable being on hand, many of Bibbins and Murray's friends and teammates attended the signing. Making the event even more special for the student-athletes was the fact that both signed with Long Beach State.

Ashley Murray '14, a standout on the girls' volleyball team, signed with the women's volleyball program. Murray has been a 4-year varsity player for the Lady Knights. As a freshman, she was named to the All-Del Rey League 2nd Team. She was a first team selection as a sophomore. Last year as a junior, Murray missed most of the season due to injury, but she returned in time to help the Lady Knights reach the CIF semi-finals. This season, she has led the Lady Knights into the 2nd round of the CIF playoffs. (They play at Chino Hills HS on November 14 at 7:00pm)
Justin Bibbins '14 signed with Long Beach State before heading into his fourth season as a starter on the varsity boys' basketball team. Bibbins has been named 1st Team All-Del Rey League in each of his three seasons so far and looks to make it four straight years in 2013-14. Last season, he averaged 12.9 points and 5.4 assists to solidify himself as one of the top point guards in California. He was named 2nd Team All-State Junior Team by CalHiSports last year.
