Torrance, CA (September 17, 2013): Former Bishop Montgomery principal Lawrence Lis died on August 31, 2013 at the age of 82.
Lis, who was Bishop Montgomery's principal from 1965-1969, was known then as Rev. Laurence Lis, O.F.M. Conv.
In addition to serving as Bishop Montgomery's principal for four years, he was an original BMHS faculty member from 1957. Prior to being named principal, he taught religion, and served as Dean of Boys, Boys' Director of Studies and Guidance, and CSF Advisor.
