Torrance, CA (July 31, 2013): Bishop Montgomery alumnus Fr. Cassian (Michael) DiRocco, O.S.B. '94 was ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, July 20, 2013 by the Most Reverend Sylvester Ryan, Bishop Emeritus of Monterey. The ordination took place at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pasadena.
Fr. Cassian's first Mass of thanksgiving was held on Sunday, July 21 at Mary Star of the Sea Church in San Pedro.
He is scheduled to return to Rome where he will finish his Master's in Theology after which he will reside at St. Andrew's Abbey in Valyermo, California.
