Class of 2003 Grads Working Around the World

Torrance, CA (July 23, 2013): Several members of Bishop Montgomery's Class of 2003 are working around the globe.

Roy Kouchakgi '03 earned his Master's in Education in May from Cal State Fullerton and by late August, found himself in China teaching English with TPR American English School. He plans to relocate to Shanghai to teach with English First (EF). It is his plan to continue his work with EF in schools throughout China, Indonesia, and Russia. "I'm having the time of my life living and working abroad and I am so fortunate to have this opportunity to both see the world and grow as a teacher," explained Kouchakgi.

Another 2003 graduate, Temu Obar '03, is also teaching English overseas. He is currently in South Korea. Yet another classmate, Keli Borba '03, spent three years in Japan teaching English in the JET Program. Upon her return, she completed graduate school and, according to Kouchakgi, is deciding whether to teach and live abroad or stay in the area and teach ESL. Classmates (and now married) Kevin Dillon '03 and Elizabeth Poston-Dillon '03 are in the Philippines working with the Peace Corps.
