Torrance, CA (July 15, 2013): Former Bishop Montgomery football standout Omarr Smith '95 has recently been named a finalist for the Arena Football League Hall of Fame.
Smith, who also played basketball at BMHS, played football at San Jose State before beginning his career in the Arena Football League. He played 9 seasons in the league (8 with San Jose and 1 with Tampa Bay) and won 4 ArenaBowl championships. Smith, a defensive back, had 35 career interceptions and 8 interception returns for touchdowns. He was named the Defensive MVP of ArenaBowl XXI.
Smith is currently the Defensive Coordinator for the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena League.
