Torrance, CA (May 6, 2013): Several girls' track & field athletes performed well at the Del Rey League finals last week at Monrovia HS and qualified for CIF-SS Division III playoffs in their respective events.
- Senior Danielle Shanahan '13 was the Del Rey League champion in both the 1600m (5:07.09) and in the 3200m (11:17.25).
- Junior Angela Francis '14 finished third in the 100m at the Del Rey League finals in a time of 12.97.
- Sophomore Tessa Allen '15 won the Del Rey League title in the high jump (5-00.00)
- The 4x100 relay team of senior Hayley Myles ‘13, senior Taylor Loggins ‘13, junior Angela Francis ‘14, and senior Brielle Davis ‘13 finished third at the Del Rey League finals in a time of 51.74.
Girls' Division III track & field CIF-SS prelims are on Saturday, May 11 at 12:00 at Estancia HS in Costa Mesa.
