Torrance, CA (April 30, 2013): Another Bishop Montgomery boys’ basketball standout has signed a letter-of-intent to continue his playing career at the collegiate level. Senior forward Ognjen Miljkovic ‘13 signed with Eastern Washington University this weekend after making a visit to the campus. He joins former Knights’ star Tyler Harvey ’11 at EWU.
Miljkovic, originally from Belgrade, Serbia, helped lead the Knights to a 32-2 record this year. He averaged 17 points and nine rebounds per game to earn 1st Team All-Del Rey League accolades. He was also named 2nd Team All-Area by the Daily Breeze. He scored 12 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter when the Knights improved to 19-0 on the season with a 74-63 victory on Jan. 13 over St. John Bosco. He played in a pair of all-star games following his senior season.
Mijkovic joins three other Knights who have signed with NCAA Division I schools in 2013 - Lamond Murray, Jr. '13 (Pepperdine), Stefan Jovanovic '13 (Hawaii) and Niko Filipovich '13 (Hawaii).
