Torrance, CA (April 3, 2013): Six Bishop Montgomery basketball players were named to the Daily Breeze All-Area Basketball teams today at a luncheon.
On the boys' side, senior Lamond Murray, Jr. '13 was named the Daily Breeze Player of the Year after leading the Knights to a 32-2 record. Murray is the son of former NBA star Lamond Murray, Sr. He was joined on the first team by junior Justin Bibbins '14. Sophomore guard Stephen Thompson, Jr. '15 was named to the second team. Thompson is the son of former Crenshaw HS, Syracuse All-American, and current head coach at Cal State LA Stephen Thompson, Sr. Joining Thompson on the 2nd team was senior forward Ognjen Miljkovic '13.

For the girls, sophomore Christine Delapina '15 was named to the first team and freshman Sophia Song '16 was named to the second team. They highlight a very young Lady Knights squad who advanced to the CIF quarterfinals and the state tournament.
