Boys' Basketball Makes School History

Torrance, CA (February 6, 2013): With their 74-34 victory over St. Bernard tonight in the regular season finale, the Bishop Montgomery boys' basketball team completed the first unbeaten regular season in the history of the program. The Knights, Del Rey League champions, are a perfect 26-0 on the season as they head into the CIF Division 4AA playoffs which begin next week. 

Before a large home crowd, the Knights honored their seniors - Hakeem Abrams, Nikko Linayo, Lamond Murray, Jr., Ognjen Miljkovic, Stefan Jovanovic, Larry Taylor III, Devin Means, Niko Filipovich, and team manager Jarrett Miranda - prior to the game and the team presented coach Doug Mitchell with a framed jersey commemorating his 500th win earlier in the season.

The Knights were led by junior Justin Bibbins '14 (17 points), Murray (15 points), and Jovanovic (11 points & 12 rebounds).
