Torrance, CA (December 12, 2012): Tuesday night was a festive atmosphere on campus as the Bishop Montgomery boys' and girls' basketball teams opened up the home portions of their schedules with a doubleheader against Peninsula. It was also Junior High Night at the games as BMHS hosted 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students from the greater South Bay area.
The girls', ranked 3rd in the CIF-SS Division 4AA poll, beat Peninsula 51-39 behind senior Dani Lee's 18 points. The Lady Knights are 4-1 on the young season.
The boys', ranked 1st in the CIF-SS Division 4AA poll, capped the night by beating Peninsula 66-44. Senior Lamond Murray, Jr. '13 scored 19 points to lead the way for the Knights (5-0).
