Torrance, CA (December 11, 2012): On Wednesday, December 5, Bishop Montgomery held a fundraiser at Barnes & Noble in Del Amo Mall to help raise funds for Sacred Heart Elementary School in Los Angeles, which is in need of books and supplies for their classrooms and library. A portion of sales from the day were earmarked for Sacred Heart.
At the Barnes & Noble Book Fair, BMHS students provided gift wrapping services, read to children while their parents shopped, and played Christmas Carols for customers. A special 'thank you' to Campus Ministry, the Music Department, ASB, and the clubs and moderators who were actively involved by being there to help greet, gift wrap, read stories and sing Christmas Carols. Thank you for representing Bishop Montgomery in our community.

We are excited to announce that the proceeds from this school-wide service project were in excess of $400. BMHS will donate a Barnes and Noble gift card in this amount to Sacred Heart Elementary School so they can purchase books for their library and classrooms.
