Trio of Student-Athletes Sign Letters-of-Intent

Torrance, CA (November 14, 2012): Three outstanding Bishop Montgomery student-athletes officially signed their national letters-of-intent today in the gymnasium in front of many friends and family. All three student-athletes signed with Division I universities.

Senior outside hitter Bria Green '13 of the girls' volleyball team signed with the University of Alabama. A 4-year varsity starter for the Lady Knights, Green led the 2012 squad to a thrilling run in the playoffs, advancing all the way to the CIF-SS Division 1A semi-finals. Green was an All-Del Rey League 2nd team selection as a freshman and a 1st team selection as both a sophomore and a junior. She is sure to be a 1st team selection as a senior when the 2012 all-league teams are announced.

Senior forward Lamond Murray, Jr. '13 of the boys' basketball team signed with Pepperdine University. Murray is a 4-year varsity letterman for the Knights basketball team. The son of former NBA star Lamond Murray, Sr., Murray was a first team All-Del Rey League and 1st Team All-CIF pick as a junior in 2011-12. The 6-7 forward was also a 1st team All-Del Rey League pick as a sophomore.

Senior center Stefan Jovanovic '13 of the boys' basketball team signed with the University of Hawaii. Jovanovic, from Serbia, is a 2-year letterman for the Knights. As a junior in 2011-12, the 6-10 Jovanovic was named 2nd Team All-Del Rey League.
