Carmelita was also presented with a proclamation from the City of Torrance proclaiming September 11, 2012 "Carmelita Jeter Day" in Torrance. Finally, Ms. Libbon unveiled a banner in the gymnasium permanently acknowledging her Olympic accomplishments.
