Beginning in the fall of 2012 (first day of school is August 22), Bishop Montgomery High School will offer bus transportation to and from school for students in the Ladera Heights, Los Angeles, Westchester, Hawthorne, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach neighborhoods.
BMHS hopes this new bus service will help parents minimize transportation challenges— conflicting work schedules, carpool, public buses, increasing gas prices, and automobile wear and tear— while ensuring safe and economical transportation* (total costs for daily round-trip service break down to just $125/month).
Global Transportation, a private company, will provide a bus, for exclusive use by Bishop Montgomery students, for the entire 2012-13 school year. Students may choose daily round-trip transportation, daily afternoon transportation only, or intermittent passage on an as-needed basis. Afternoon service will offer two departure times-- one immediately after school, and one a few hours later to accomodate students participating in sports, band or other after-school activities. Below are the costs and payment plans.
Full Year Round Trip - $1,250 annually*
