Students for Animals Club Gives Back to the Community

Torrance, CA (May 21, 2012): On Saturday, May 12, the Students for Animals Club donated $207 to the pet adoption agency, Bullies and Buddies, located in Redondo Beach. Jennifer Rosen, the coordinator of the agency gladly accepted the money, which will be used to help pay for immunizing, spaying or neutering dogs, and providing medical care and food for the animals that people foster until permanent placement with familis can be found.

Bullies and Buddies provides a shelter for unwanted or abused dogs. The agency finds foster homes for these dogs until a permanent home can be found for them. Their hope is that the foster families will fall in love with the dogs and adopt them. Members of the Students for Animals Club volunteer on Saturdays at the agency, setting up, cleaning cages, and of course, playing with the dogs. The club is moderated by BMHS economics teacher Susan Strauss.
