Torrance, CA (December 19, 2024): Today was a day filled with many emotions. After the students completed the last of their final exams, they filed off campus ready to enjoy the Christmas break. The teachers were not far behind.
When the front office officially closed for the day, we said goodbye to the voice of Bishop Montgomery, Jan Fitzpatrick, who served at BMHS for 40 years. If you have called the school in the last four decades, it was the soothing voice of Jan that answered the phone, and her smile could be felt coming through the phone line. And although Jan is retiring, she will surely still be around, as she has been an avid supporter of all things Bishop Montgomery, especially athletic events.
We will miss seeing Jan every day, but we are so excited for her to enjoy her retirement.
Thank you, Jan, for your dedication to serving BMHS, for your unwavering support of the students and teachers, and for your commitment to making BMHS a special place. We will see you at the games!
