Torrance, CA (July 9, 2024): When the 2024 Summer Olympics begin on July 26 in Paris, there will be two Bishop Montgomery alumni represented.
In addition to her position as Head Coach of the WNBA's Seattle Storm, Noelle Quinn '03 serves as an assistant coach with the Canadian Women's National Basketball team that will compete in Paris.
Stephen Thompson, Jr. '15 will be the 5th alumnus in BMHS history to compete in the Olympics. He is a member of Team Puerto Rico that will compete in men's basketball.
The other four BMHS alumni to compete in the Olympic Games are:
- John Guggiana '75 (Italy/Baseball/1984 Olympics)
- Mike Gonzales '82 (Puerto Rico/Bobsled/1998 & 2002)
- Patricia Neske '84 (Germany/Figure Skating/1992)
- Carmelita Jeter '98 (USA/Track & Field/2012).
