Torrance, CA (November 17, 2021): Four Bishop Montgomery seniors made their college commitments official today when they signed their National Letters-of-Intent to continue their athletic careers.
Finley Rollins '22 (left) signed with UC Davis for Beach Volleyball. Rollins has been an outstanding player for the BMHS beach team, which moves into official CIF-SS play starting in the spring. In previous year, beach volleyball has been a club sport in California, but makes its debut as a CIF-sanctioned sport this year.
Derek Murphy '22 (2nd from left) signed with California State University, East Bay for Baseball. Last season, Murphy led the Knights to the Camino Real League title and was named the league's Pitcher of the Year and 2nd Team All-CIF.
Chloe Williams '22 (2nd from right) signed with the University of Tulsa for Basketball. Williams transferred to Bishop Montgomery after her sophomore season. She will lead the 2021-22 BMHS Girls' Basketball team as they look to win a fifth straight Del Rey League title.
Kyle Sugimoto '22 (right) signed with Occidental College for Baseball. Sugimoto is a 4-year varsity letterwinner for the Knights and has had an outstanding career so far. Last year as a junior, he helped the Knights to a league title and the 2nd round of the playoffs. He was named 1st Team All-Camino Real League and 2nd Team All-CIF.
