Torrance, CA (May 20, 2021): With the Knights 69-44 win last night over St. Bernard, Head Coach Doug Mitchell notched his 725th win at Bishop Montgomery. Coach Mitchell is currently in his 32nd year at BMHS.
Coach Mitchell is one of California's most successful basketball coaches. While at BMHS, he has led the Knights to 20 league titles, six CIF-SS titles, and 4 State titles. The Knights have also made the playoffs every year during his tenure. With the win last night, he has 736 career wins. Prior to coming to Bishop in 1989, he was the head coach at his alma mater, South Torrance.
