Torrance, CA (December 13, 2019): Last night, the Bishop Montgomery football program honored eight alumni and seven current players at the 1st Annual Alumni Awards Ceremony in the campus' Schneider Retreat Center. Beginning this year, the football program re-named some of their team awards and added new team awards as a way to connect the past and the present.
The newly established team awards are named in honor of seven alumni and one former BMHS football coach and each award will be presented to the top current player at his position group. At the awards ceremony, seven of the eight former players and coaches were on hand to help present their named award in front of friends and family.
"We wanted to create something special not only for our current players, but for those players and coaches who came before them," says head football coach Ed Hodgkiss. "It was a special night having so many alumni football players back on campus to help celebrate our current players."
