Description

This course examines the literary techniques and tools of literature, and its overall themes.  Students will study novels, poetry, short stories, speeches, essays and other forms fo non-fiction in their relation to genre and technique.  Students will write several expository and analytical essays, which combine class notes and personal analysis.  The course goals align with the California Standards for literature, grammar, writing and public speaking.

Sketch an image of the shoe's owner using the shoes.  Your goal is to predict what you think the owner does in these shoes.  When drawing this pictuer remember to be respectful.
 
After you have drawn the owner of the shoes, on the back of your paper write about the owner of the shoes.  What kind of family do they have?  What role do they play in their family?  What do they do for a living?  Where do they live?  Where did they grow up?  What is their biggest worry?  Greatest achievement?  Hobbies and interests? (ten sentences min.)
