Epigraph Essay: due May 2

Each chapter of the book begins with an epigraph, a short statement involving bees, which captures the main theme of the chapter. Whatever is being said about bees parallels what is being said about humans in the chapter.

You will choose three epigraphs and in three separate paragraphs, explain how the eipgraph illustrates the message Sue Monk Kidd is trying to get across about people and their interactions with each other. You may use quotes but make sure you introduce them as if I have not read the book, and use quotation marks, and follow them up with commentary. Quotes do not count as part of the (minimum) five sentences per paragraph.

With an introduction and conclusion, your paper will be five paragraphs. Grading will be as follows:

Introduction: 5 pts.
First body 10 pts.
2nd body 10 pts.
3rd body 10 pts.
Conclusion 5 pts.
