In the years I have taught at Bishop Montgomery High School and the over twenty years I have taught Visual Arts, I have sought to inspire my students to fulfill their academic and artistic potential. During the twenty-five years I have been teaching, I have had the opportunity to teach at the elementary, middle, secondary, and university levels, including at St. Paul, Bishop Amat, Bishop O'Dowd, Calabasas, Valencia, and Mater Dei high schools. I have taught every type of visual art course, including Art Appreciation, Art History, AP Art History, Ceramics, Drawing and Painting, Photography, Graphic Design, and AP Studio Art. I have successfully transitioned art courses from traditional media to full digital media, incorporating the use of computers to create and alter artworks, conduct Internet research, and complete and submit various types of online assessments.

I have a BA in Art and MS in Secondary Education from Cal State University, Fullerton, a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art, and a CTE Credential in Arts, Media & Entertainment. I am also a certified instructor in Online and Blended teaching. Currently, I teach AP Studio Art and Design, Advanced Art, Intro to Art, Graphic Design, Yearbook 1 and Yearbook Honors 2, 3 and 4. Additionally, I am the advisor for the school newspaper KnightLife, and the Visual Arts Club and serve as one of the Senior Class Advisors.
