Eligibility Requirements

ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY FOR ATHLETICS AND ACTIVITIES:
A student must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or better to be eligible to participate in athletics and certain activities. If at the end of a marking period the student does not have a minimum GPA of 2.0, the student is automatically issued a warning. This is determined by the marking period grade, NOT by the cumulative average. The parents and the student will be notified of the warning. If the GPA has not reached 2.0 by the next marking period, the student is deemed ineligible to participate in co-curricular activities. Eligibility will be restored upon a posted GPA of 2.0 or greater in a subsequent marking period. Academic eligibility is determined five school days after grades are due. These dates are recorded on the school calendar.
