Torrance, CA (April 22, 2015): Bishop Montgomery is pleased to announce that a scholarship in memory of alumnus Destry Bell '83 has been established at the school. The Destry Bell '83 Memorial Scholarship will provide tuition assistance to current Bishop Montgomery students who have a need.
Destry was an excellent student-athlete at Bishop Montgomery, where he was a 2-year starter on the Knights' basketball team. He died on November 21, 2010. At the time of his death, he served as a Sergeant for the Los Angeles County's Sheriff's Department.
