Alumnus Leading the Nation in Scoring

Torrance, CA (January 30, 2015): Bishop Montgomery alumnus Tyler Harvey '11, a redshirt junior at Eastern Washington University, is currently leading the nation (Division I) in several categories, including scoring. A shooting guard for the Eagles basketball team, Harvey is averaging 24.1 points per game.

Harvey is widely recognized as one of the nation's top shooters, and his numbers back up that claim. He also leads the nation in 3-point field goals made per game (4.40) and total 3-pointers made (88). He also ranks fifth in the country in 3-point percentage, shooting an impressive 48.6% from beyond the arc.

In addition to his prowess on the court, Harvey is also an outstanding student. He carries a 3.7 GPA and is a candidate to be an Academic All-American.

While at Bishop Montgomery, Harvey was a two-time All-Del Rey League and All-CIF selection for the Knights. He averaged 18.0 points per game as a senior.
